The 300 lumens was much brighter than the other picos I used in the past and the high resolution makes all my videos look MUCH better. It is slightly larger than my first pico projector but the performance totally makes up for it.What I liked most about this pico projector was the optional battery pack. There aren't any other pico projectors with this brightness on battery power. The battery doesnt take any additional space as it fits right into the projector. Installation takes 2-3 minutes which wasnt too bad. Three screws, place battery in and close. Very much worth the time since I like to watch shows on my backyard wall. For this price go with the Showtime 3D by AAXA. The differences are the P300 has a 16:9 aspect ratio as well as a 4:3,and auto, much greater settings menu in regards to image color control,and sound, a sleep timer, a noticeable upgrade in image quality( but the M2 also looks great), the lens on the P300 is smaller, requiring less distance for larger playing surface(at roughly 18ft the M2 achieved an 80" screen while at the same distance the P300 achieve roughly a 120" screen, better layout of the buttons on the controler, the P300 cuts the fan noise in half but still requires external speakers, will play 1080pHD movies( the M2 will only play up to 720p), a back and front sensor for remote and slightly longer reach, plays PDF's via the home menu (you have to use a confusing work around on the M2),the P300 is flatter but slightly longer than the M2, I believe this makes the P300 a little easier to transport. When Amazon started selling it directly, I took the chance.The projector has been a great find. It's bright enough for the rooms I use it in, which are partly to fully lit office conference rooms with whiteboards. I haven't tried to use it on a really big screen or wall, and probably never will. You CANNOT run powerpoint slideshows directly from this device's built-in media manager software. You need to export your deck to Pictures (on Powerpoint's File menu), then copy them to the media (I use a microSD card, you can also use a USB stick). So far, the firmware doesn't let you choose the slide transition animations, so you are stuck with having the projector's software embed its own randomly chosen transitions... imagine all the cheesy floating in, flipping, sliding, pixelating, etc. that Powerpoint offers, and you have the idea.
